The Santa Experience 2024 Is Now Booking!

As a Redwood City newborn photographer, one of the most frequent questions I am asked is how to showcase the newborn portraits in their home. Newborns are only this small for a short amount of time, and it’s important to capture these fleeting moments! Here are my top five tips and products on how to best display your newborn photos in your home.

1) Albums and Coffee Table Books | Redwood City newborn photographer:

A beautiful way to display your newborn photos is in an album or coffee table book. This way, you can keep all of the images together in one place and access them easily. Plus, it’s a great conversation starter when guests come over! There are many different types and styles of albums and coffee table books available. I recommend choosing one that is acid-free and lignin-free, so that your photos will be protected for years to come. When you do a newborn portrait session with me, your fav Redwood City Newborn Photographer, you’ll have access to order these beautiful custom, hand bound albums with thick acid-free pages. The lab I work with uses only archival inks which means that every photo in there will continue to be vibrant and beautiful for many many years to come. As a Redwood City newborn photographer, I will never compromise on quality of products that I offer my clients and anyone who holds or touches these beautiful heirloom albums, falls in love with them almost instantly! There is a reason why these are the number 1 choice for me as a Redwood City newborn photographer. 2) Matted Prints | Redwood City newborn photographer:

Another popular option for displaying newborn photos is in matted prints. Matted prints come with a white or off-white mat board around them, and they can be hung on the wall or placed in a frame. I recommend ordering your matted prints from a professional lab, so that you can be sure they are printed on high-quality paper. I also recommend ordering them in a size that is at least double the size of the frame you plan to put them in. This way, you can trim the mat board to fit your frame, and you won’t have any white space around your photo. If you’re ordering your matted prints with me, I will do this for you so you don’t have to worry about sizing and finding the right mat color to compliment your photos. I know you already have your hands full with the baby, so leave that on me and as your Redwood City newborn photographer, I will take care of it all and make sure to deliver a final product that is ready to be popped into a frame and can be displayed around the house with no hassle! As a bonus, when you order matted prints from me as Redwood City newborn photographer, you have the option to choose from a variety of different papers. I offer both lustre and matte papers, as well as canvas and metal prints. All of these options are beautiful ways to display your newborn photos! 3) Canvas and Metal Prints | Redwood City newborn photographer:

Canvas and metal prints are a beautiful way to display your newborn photos. They come ready to hang on the wall, and they add a touch of elegance to any room. Canvas prints are printed on high-quality canvas, and they come in a variety of sizes. As a professional Redwood City newborn photographer, I don’t offer consumer grade canvases that people often print themselves through Costco! These are not the best long-term investment as the image is directly printed onto the canvas which is then stretched onto a wooden frame and has an unfinished back too! Over time, these consumer grade canvases are known to sag and fade given the low quality of materials used. Golden Shutter Portraits is one of the few Redwood City newborn photographers, that offers museum quality canvases through professional labs. When you buy a canvas, I make sure it’s high quality, uses archival ink and is mounted on a wooden substrate that allows it to expand and contract due to temperature changes without any sagging or disfiguring. Bonus advantage of these museum quality canvases are that they do not require glass when framed and the colors just look so much richer and vibrant than a consumer grade canvas. newborn baby in bonnet

4) Mix-media Gallery Wall | Redwood City newborn photographer:

A mix-media gallery wall is a beautiful way to display your newborn photos. It is a collection of photos, artwork, and other items that are hung on the wall in an arrangement. You can use a mix-media gallery wall to display your newborn photos in as prints, canvases, matted prints and metals. I also provide wooden blocks to each of my Redwood City newborn photography clients to display their images on. These wooden blocks come in a set of four and are a great way to add texture and dimension to your gallery wall! When you purchase a mix-media gallery wall from me, I will help you choose the right sizes for each item and use a special software to help you choose the right dimensions for each art piece. I’ve also worked with clients to design gallery walls that include not just photos but also framed sentimental objects like baby’s first footprints or handprints. Gallery wall with newborn imag
